Job Title: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) / Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) / Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)

This position performs supervised individual, couples, and group counseling and attends weekly supervision. This role provides trauma-informed assessment, treatment planning, and clinical service counseling. They may also perform other related tasks that are a part of the agency's operation. Work is supervised by professional staff, and a licensed clinician supervises individual clinical work.

Essential Duties

  • Provides trauma-informed, attachment-based, relational, somatic, and emotionally focused psychotherapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and families, building up to a caseload of at least 15-18 client hours per week

  • Utilizes clinical best and evidence-based practices to conduct screening, intake, and assessments to determine the client’s needs and develop treatment goals

  • Provides crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, case management, and referral services for assigned individuals, couples, and families

  • Maintain a client load of at least 15-18 per week + plus maintain up-to-date clinical documentation and current notes with billing to an ethical and professional standard

  • Consult with supervisors and staff as needed and required

  • Attends supervision on a weekly basis and in a prompt manner

  • Interacts with team, staff, and clients in a professional and ethical manner

  • Participates in supervision and training with an openness to learning and receiving feedback

  • Actively participates in the marketing, networking, and recruiting of new clients to build caseload on an ongoing and as-needed basis

  • Performs additional job-related duties and responsibilities as requested

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field

  • Knowledge and basic skills in ethical counseling practices and methods

  • Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities conducted

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare written and electronic documents

  • Ability to communicate orally, both in person, via video, and by telephone

  • Ability to travel to meetings, and counseling service offices

  • Ability to establish rapport with others as a requisite for healthy and therapeutic relationships

  • Ability to be both consistent and flexible as circumstances warrant

  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in psychological emergencies and/or crises when provided with appropriate supervision and direction

  • Demonstrates self-awareness in order to relate to others effectively and appropriately
